With this camera I was up and running in 5 seconds. (great quality photos) At 6.3 megapixel you get photos of amazing quality with extreme detail (sometimes too extreme; skin imperfections are not great at up close) (pre-programmed modes) Basically the pre-programmed mode allows you to set basic camera features (such as shutter speed and flash) all at once with a click of a button. The things I don't like:1. Boot up time 2. Time between shots (with flash, or if you use the burst mode). There have been times when I've had to wait 30-40 seconds, to take my second shot of 3 bursts. 3. Autofocus. If you really want a quick shot, and point and shoot it, even though the subject is right in front of your camera it is too quick to take the snap and your subject could be out of focus. My wife and daughters love it. Sometimes I am surprised at the quality of the pictures I can print out with very little Photo Shop fiddling -- especially outdoor shots. For indoor, which usually means flash, there are adjustment capabilities that make it possible to get very good "snapshot" pictures. I'm particular, though, most would be happy with the full auto mode. Very handy is the separate button for video clips. This is our second one, as the first was damaged, and it's an excellent value. |
